A fund has been launched by ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½Ò•îl to help manage the impact of the restricted movement of people and traffic in the county.
It will support those affected by recent travel disruptions and bolster the work of our churches and volunteer communities helping those affected by Covid and Brexit into 2021.
ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½Ò•îl of Communities and Partnerships Revd Dr Jonathan Arnold said: “We’ve had offers of financial help coming in from all over the country for lorry drivers and travellers in need.
“Our diocese, churches, clergy and volunteers are on the frontline here in Kent and we are seeing people stranded, hungry, broken and alone.
“As much as we can, following all the COVID precautions, we’re providing practical and pastoral support wherever it is possible. Setting up this fund will allow us to help even more people as we look ahead to next year.”
